Change API sync regions for AWS environments

You can change regions to solve synchronization problems between AWS and Sophos Cloud Optix.

If you receive a “sync failure” alert it can be because an AWS service control policy (SCP) is denying access to some regions or services. You can solve this by relaxing the SCP or changing the regions that are synchronized for the environment in Sophos Cloud Optix.

To see and change regions, do as follows.

  1. Sign in to Sophos Cloud Optix.
  2. Click Environments.
  3. Search for the AWS environment with the error, then click it. You can also click the edit icon in the list of environments.

    The Settings for the environment appear.

  4. Go to API Sync Settings.

  5. Review the Sync Regions and change if necessary.
  6. Click Save.
