These are the release notes for Sophos Core Agent for Windows 7 and later, managed by Sophos Central.

Some information only applies to specific versions of Windows. For example, we tell you which component versions apply to Windows 10 64-bit and later. To find this information click "Windows 10 64-bit and later".

Some of the features mentioned in these release notes are only available if you have the appropriate license.

For retirement dates, including extended support, see Retirement calendar for supported platforms and operating systems.

You may find that you can't yet download and use the latest version. This is because Sophos releases the software over a number of weeks, but publishes the release notes on the first day.

Information regarding legacy platforms

  • Some older platforms are considered legacy platforms, and may require an Extended Support license.
  • Some features and resolved issues may not be available, supported, or updated, on legacy platforms.
  • Legacy platforms currently include Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 32-bit.
