Uninstall SafeGuard Enterprise Server
This page describes how to uninstall SafeGuard Enterprise Server.
Before you begin
Before uninstalling the SafeGuard Enterprise Server components, we strongly recommend you do the following:
- Store your file encryption keys. See Store file encryption keys.
- If you use SafeGuard Data Exchange and a media passphrase, store your media encryption keys.
- Back up the SafeGuard Enterprise components listed in SafeGuard components to keep.
- Set up a minimal SafeGuard Enterprise system in a test environment to make sure it works, in case of emergency. See Set up a minimal SafeGuard Enterprise system.
Uninstall SafeGuard Enterprise Server
To uninstall the SafeGuard Enterprise Server components, do as follows:

On the computer with SafeGuard Enterprise Server installed, go to Windows Settings > Apps & features and uninstall all SafeGuard Enterprise components.
You must uninstall the components in the following order:
- SafeGuard server configuration
- If applicable: SafeGuard client configuration
- SafeGuard server
- SafeGuard Management Center

Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to delete your SafeGuard Enterprise database from SQL Server.
