Support Certification Program (SCP) Technical Exams

We’re introducing the Support Certification Program, which will enable you to have access to a senior engineer when you need to interface with Support upon successfully passing the exam. This program is open to anyone with an existing Sophos support contract in most regions1.

Program details

  • Limited to Sophos Firewall and Central Endpoint Server technologies only
  • Free offering to qualified customers and partners
  • An online 45-minute Individual exam that consists of Sophos product knowledge, and network and endpoint related fundamentals. Only those who pass the exam will have access to the SCP program
  • Once you successfully pass the exam, you’ll be provided a welcome letter outlining program details and instructions on how to connect with a senior engineer
  • Program access is valid for two years
  • If you are a customer or partner who holds current Sophos certification in either one of our core products (Sophos Firewall or Central Endpoint Server), you will continue to have access to the senior support to which you are entitled by your certification

How do I take the exam?

You will need to log a case at https://support.sophos.com for Customer Care with your inquiry around the exam. Once Customer Care receives your request, they will provide access to the exam.

FAQs

I’m a partner that has access or as a customer I have an Enhanced Plus Contract with this access already – do I need to do anything?

No, you already have the access to the phone lines for senior engineers.

Does this replace my current Sophos certification?

No, this will not replace any certification that you currently have or are required to maintain as a partner.

What is the passing grade?

You would need to score a minimum of 70% to pass the exam.

What if I already hold a valid certification in either Sophos Firewall or Endpoint Server?

You will be entitled to access a senior engineer under the new Support Certification Program, please contact Customer Care on https://support.sophos.com and raise a case with this inquiry.

Who can I speak to if I need more information about the SCP in general?

You should reach out to Customer Care, by opening a case.

What if I hold a certification but have never had access to a senior engineer before?

That has changed with this new program, and access will be provided based on either your certification entitlement, or by passing the new individual exam.
