Detected exploits exclusions
You can exclude any exploit that's already been detected. We'll no longer detect it for the affected application and no longer block the application.
Exclude a detected exploit
To exclude an exploit, do as follows:
- Click the General Settings icon
. - Under General, click Global Exclusions.
- Click Add Exclusion.
- In Exclusion Type, select Detected Exploits (Windows/Mac).
-
Select an exploit or exploits in the list, and click Add.
The exploit is added to your Global Exclusions list.
Exclude an exploit using a detection ID
You can exclude detected exploits using a detection ID.
You can use this option if you're working with Sophos Support to resolve a false positive detection. Sophos Support can give you a detection ID and you can then exclude it.
Alternatively, you can get a detection ID from the Detections page. See See detection details.
- Click the General Settings icon
. - Under General, click Global Exclusions.
- Click Add Exclusion.
- In Exclusion Type, select Detected Exploits (Windows/Mac).
- Click Exploit not listed?.
- In Exclude export by detection ID, enter the ID.
